Speaking Clearly

Hi sisters,

At the end of July I turned 28. That doesn’t sound that old to me, but I most definitely feel much older than I did last July. Maybe old isn’t the right word for it, I feel more…mature. I feel like I’m learning more about my relationships with my husband and child, with my sisters and parents, with my friends and coworkers. At a younger age I wouldn’t have thought much about these relationships beyond: is the other person happy? If no, then how can I make that person happy? Continue reading “Speaking Clearly”

BOOKS! and sometimes TV!

Hi sisters,

As Calvin gets more mobile and opinionated I’m having less time to watch and read things. I still find time to read, but it’s not as often as when he was a newborn. Then I would read while he nursed, and I could read while I was holding him and soothing him to sleep in the rocking chair, I’d read all the time! I don’t watch TV as often on my own anymore, mainly because I don’t like to do it while Calvin’s awake, he gets too distracted by it and I’m not ready for him to have screen time ;-).
